Alison joined Staples Rodway as a graduate in 1991 before embarking on the traditional kiwi rite of passage, the OE, in 1993.  She returned to Taranaki in 1996 with a range of experience from accounting roles in the UK and Europe.  In 1998 Alison took over management of the Stratford office and was appointed a Director in Business Advisory Services in 2003. 

 

Alison specialises in farm accounting and taxation, providing business and tax advice to a variety of clients, including companies, trusts, individuals and non-residents.  During her time with Staples Rodway she has carried out various consulting roles for corporate clients in a number of industries and was acting Financial Controller for Olex Cables (NZ) for 12 months.  Her current voluntary roles include Trustee roles with TSB Community Trust and St Mary's School Board of Proprietors.

 

“Keeping a balance of a variety and challenging work is good for me and my clients”, says Alison.  I enjoy delivering service of value to our clients in a cost effective way.

 

Alison finds variety and challenges in her spare time in a very different job, she can often be found working in the family sheep and beef farm maintaining hands on experience and is reported to be very proficient with a set of shears!
